A Great Start At Garbally

Star of first year debating and Soapbox Competition

A first year student Eoghan Costello has had a great start in Garbally.  A member of our football, hurling and rugby sides, Eoghan really found his groove when he was invited to represent the college in the European Parliament organised Soapbox Competition.
Eoghan easily triumphed in Connacht and went on to the National Finals in Farmleigh House.  He was up against adults with third level and post graduate qualifications and gave a sterling performance.  We felt he had won but the judges gave him runner up place.
Eoghan was subsequently invited to address the Chamber of Commerce in Tuam. Eoghan epitomises the qualities we endeavour to promote in our students and he has a very bright future ahead of him in the College.
Well done Eoghan!
