Senior House Culture

As students move through the college they mature. Part of this maturing process is facilitated by student’s involvement in the wider life of the school - Student Council, Transition Year, Sport, and Mentors. The move from Junior to Senior house is particularly important. Students are a step closer to a career choice and College Course.
The Leaving Cert is a much more challenging task. They are also the leaders of the Student Community. We have encouraged our Senior Students to take their new role and status seriously. They now have their own dining area. They are facilitated at Morning Study and are chosen as Mentors. They provide the senior executive positions in the Student Council. These initiatives prepare them for life after Garbally. The Seniors have responded positively to these initiatives, we feel a new sense of responsibility growing amongst our senior students.
These developments will benefit all in our School Community.
