Céad mile fáilte romhat chuig suíomh gréasán Choláiste Sheosaimh.

On behalf of the school community I would like to welcome you to the website of St. Joseph’s College, Garbally Park.  We are a Boys Voluntary Secondary School under the trusteeship of the Diocese of Clonfert.  St. Joseph’s College is currently home to 482 students and 50 staff members.  Founded in 1892, the school has played a central role in the education of the youth of Ballinasloe and the surrounding areas.

Our aim is to help pupils achieve their full potential in a positive and caring environment.  We provide a broad range of curricular programmes at Junior, Transition and Senior Cycles.  St. Joseph’s College has a long and proud tradition of academic excellence.  Our past pupils have excelled in their chosen career paths.  We endeavour to develop the whole person, which is central to Garbally’s Catholic ethos.

A unique feature of our school is our Special Needs Education Centre.

We offer our pupils a broad choice of co-curricular and extra curricular activities.  Students are encouraged to participate in Enterprise, Music, Public Speaking, Drama, the BT Young Scientist, Green Schools, Work Experience and Social Action.  In addition we place a huge emphasis on Sport and Physical Education.  Rugby, Gaelic Football, Hurling, Soccer, Basketball, Athletics and Tennis are some of the many sports played at the College.

This website will provide you with an insight into the broad range of subjects and activities available in our school.  I hope that you obtain useful information from our website.

Beir Bua agus Beannacht libh go léir!
